• First of all I would like to express the enormous gratitude that I feel after discovering your website! I’ve always been proud of the fact that I come from a Swedish background.

• You hit the nail on the head Yvonne! That is indeed, my grandmother Nanny Maria that you have found! What a thrill you have provided for me!

• If you could have observed me reading the last email you sent me about finding my Swedish relative you would have seen someone thrilled to the very tips of their being! This is one of the most exciting things that have ever happened to me in my long lifetime! And I have you to thank for it!

• My Swedish grandmother, Nanny Marie Nilsson, emigrated to America from Småland sometime in the late 1890’s. She was only 18 year’s old at the time and she immigrated over to America in a cattle boat! She carried all of her worldly possessions with her. Two dresses’, one pair of shoes, and only $18.00 in cash! She was first located in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she found work as a maid. Somewhere along the line, she met and married my grandfather, John Peter Forsberg. Together they had 8 children, one of whom was my father, Edgar B. Forsberg. And so as they say, the rest is history!

Now I want to tell you about my most exciting news! This coming September, my Swedish relative Alf and his wife are coming to America so I will have the wonderful opportunity of getting to meet them in person! I'm nearly beside myself with excitement!

• This would not have happened without your invaluable help! So I have decided to award you with an honorary American-Swedish citizenship! Now you know how incredibly grateful I am to you! En tusan tack!

Warmest regard’s, Keith Forsberg, Warroad, Minnesota
